Front Roll vs Back Roll Roller Blinds: Which Direction Is Best?
What is roll direction?
Roll direction describes whether the fabric comes off the front or the back of the roller tube.
Front roll
With a front roll, the fabric travels down from the room side of the tube. This moves the fabric further away from the glass and can help clear protruding handles or frames.
Back roll
With a back roll, the fabric drops from the window side of the tube. This generally keeps the fabric closer to the window and can create a compact appearance.
Which is better?
Neither direction is universally better. Choose based on window hardware, mounting position, light gaps and the appearance you want.
